With a long, coveted history within Formula One, Finland has produced yet another gem - a calm personality, but a warrior in the car.
Making his debut with Williams in 2013, Valtteri Bottas quickly made his way to the front of the grid scoring podiums in just his second season, whilst coming out on top against his veteran team-mate, Felipe Massa.
Bottas continued to impress with Williams showcasing himself as the up and coming youngster who will eventually go on to compete for race victories and do that he has done - helped by a promotion in 2017 to the most coveted F1 seat at the time, a drive at Mercedes following the retirement of newly crowned world champion, Nico Rosberg.
Driving for the same team as Lewis Hamilton is tough and Bottas has experienced that first hand often being described as his ‘wingman’, but he has still held his own.
Seven race wins and counting, in some races Bottas has out-drove Hamilton. However, he must do that regularly to take the world title fight to the last race weekend and become Finland’s fourth world champion.
