Scoring a podium on his debut, Kevin Magnussen made his mark on Formula One from the get-go.
Whilst he hasn’t finished in the top three since, he has still found himself in an environment that he belongs in but one which has sometimes had people critique him for his style of driving. An elbows-out, aggressive approach isn’t to everybody’s pleasure, but it shows his dedication to get the most out of what he has.
Following a year at McLaren alongside former world champion, Jenson Button, the arrival of Fernando Alonso to the team had Magnussen packing. After a year’s sabbatical from the sport, he was back with Renault for a year before finding his long-term home with Haas F1 in 2017.
Entering his fourth season at the team, Magnussen belongs in Formula One and certainly has the ability to remain for many more years to come.
