Guenther Steiner believes F1 should not returning to the days of banning as the T wing is set to disappear just like that of the X-wings.....
Formula 1 has always been a nick-picking sport with new ideas typically banned for a multitude of reasons,
Ideas that compromise the integrity of the rules are usual the first to get banned. H
However, jealous teams, ugly design, deemed dangerous or having unfair advantage usually leads to a quick hit from the ban hammer.
Now the new T wings seen on many cars have been marked up for review by the FIA and Haas manager Guenther Steiner isn't happy about the possible change.
“There were parts lost before and the FIA has to sort out with Mercedes that they fix their problem,” Steiner Explained.
“I have nothing to say about them because I have no idea why it failed, so they have to explain that to the FIA, then the FIA will take a decision"
“We could say this about every part. How many people lost a wing? We were among them last year and we didn’t ban front wings, we fixed them"
“Last year, Toro Rosso had a few issues with the wheel rims, but they didn’t ban the use of rims, they fixed them"
“It’s the same. Just because it’s a T-wing and somebody says they don’t like them doesn’t [mean] we need to take them off.”
